The salary of an IT administrator is shaped above all by professional experience, technical specialisation and scope of responsibility. Earnings rise markedly with growing experience and responsibility for larger IT infrastructures. Education also plays a role: specialists holding a degree from a university of applied sciences or a university tend to earn more than newcomers to the profession.
