How much an assembly manager earns in Switzerland depends substantially on professional experience and technical qualification – those with training from a university of applied sciences or a university generally achieve higher pay than career changers with vocational training alone. The sector also plays an important role: above-average salaries are frequently paid in photovoltaics, energy and plant engineering. Company size and the extent of leadership responsibility, for instance the number of assembly teams led, likewise have a noticeable effect on pay. An assembly manager carries responsibility for planning, coordinating and monitoring assembly projects in industry, plant construction or on construction sites.
